I’ll spare you my rant about how much I love the products from Deciem. Just check out my older posts and you will see why they are my go to for skin care products.
Today I am going to review their salicylic acid mask.
“Salicylic Acid 2% Masque is formulated to target lackluster tone and textural irregularities. The formula, infused with charcoal and clays, aims to enhance the appearance of smoothness and clarity, leaving the skin feeling refreshed.”
What is salicylic acid? It is a beta hydroxy acid which means that once it penetrates the skin, salicylic acid dissolves skin debris that clogs pores, acts an anti-inflammatory and also helps red inflamed pimples and bumps go away faster. If you are someone with adult acne like me, you NEED this!
Guess what else has salicylic acid? Aspirin! Sure, you could make your own acid mask by crushing UNCOATED aspirin and dissolving it in water to put on your skin. But what makes this mask so much better is not only does it contain salicylic acid, but also charcoal and clay for clarifying your skin. Plus it costs 12.50 CAD, is vegan and cruelty free…you can’t beat that.
Here it is upon application. I used a cat filter here so I don’t scare you!
Always make sure you wash your face before applying any mask and dry thoroughly. Apply the mask, wait 10 minutes and rinse off. That’s it! Goodbye dull pimpled skin, hello radiant you!
